In 2010, Hatwoman opened and was Hong Kong’s premier headwear shop, unleashing thousands of fabulous hats in Hong Kong and beyond, to persons of distinction – serving celebrities, stylists, costume designers and fashionistas from across the globe. It was during this time that we realized there was a need for a Really Useful hatbox and decided to take the matter into our own hands.

Drawing from design elements from our own collection of vintage and antique hatboxes, we combined those with modern materials and technologies to create The HATBOX, a new and improved version for milliners and hat lovers everywhere.

The final result is unlike any other hatbox currently on the market. It’s larger and more affordable than modern leather hatboxes, more durable than the cardboard varieties, and more practical than the vintage collectables.

While we have temporarily left the retail scene here in Hong Kong, we are determined to continue online in the meantime and this new website focuses solely on our hatboxes (for now!) We have a limited number of hatboxes and have no plans to make more, so once sold out they will be sold out forever!
